Curio Cabinet
This is the cabinet I use to hold my N gauge equipment in.
As bought, it had three shelves. The top one I used for engines, the bottom two, for rolling stock.
I've since added a fourth shelf (third from top). Still needed is some construction paper to cover the raw wood. My wife tells me she might have some in her craft room.
The new shelf was needed as I have added another 12 cars to the layout. Walther's had a sale a few months back......12 cars for $30. This is less than $3 a car!. When I started in N scale 16 years ago, cars just like these were around $5 or $6. This, to me, was a no brainer. Anyway, the new cars are on (naturally) the new shelf.
Two cars from that pack of 12 I won't be able to run, as they are to modern, modelling the 50's as I do. But I can salvage their truck & couplers if neccessary.
Next project (for the new cars) will be a mechanical inspection, and then "weathering". Hopefully this winter these cars will get some miles on 'em.
