Winter is coming

Normally I work on my trains in January & February. This time of year I'm pretty much stuck in the house anyway.

Last winter I did a major re-modeling of the station tracks at Glenmore. Soon I hope to post photos so you can see the layout.

This winter I have another project planned. I need to "demolish" one of my numerous tunnels. Tunnels I've always liked, as it hides the train briefly. That plus (especially), on a small layout you don't just see track.......you see scenery also. Years before, when I built the layout (around 1990), there were several track spots that were "bad". I never got around to fixing them, and in many cases, have tunneled over them. Now when I run trains, often I have trouble in difficult to reach spots. Tough lesson to learn!. I should have known better. Anyway, that's on the agenda for this winter.
